The Pakistani Pacemen Mohammed Asif was arrested at Dubai airport for having contraband drugs in his luggage. Asif was the leading young paceman in the Pakistani side and was currently playing for Delhi daredevils team. Recently IPL matches got over and Mohammed Asif with his teammate kamran Akmal were returning to Pakistan from Mumbai via Dubai. There he was arrested for having opium drug and was put under charge for 36 hours.
He was the leading paceman and he was in the recently announced squad for the tri nation series. Asif has already having charges of using nandrolone drug in 2006. If the case on him is found to be true there are chances for him to be arrested for 4 to 10 years. Already Pakistani Fast Bowler Shoaib Akthar has charges of using drugs and has banned for some matches. And this is the 3rd time a Pakistani bowler was charged under act.
