Kuselan Movie Review

Kuselan, the movie of SUPERSTAR "Rajnikanth" has released worldwide on August 1st. The movie has come with lot of expectations since this the always promising combination of director P.Vasu and rajnikanth. This combination has already worked up well and the mass hit "Chandramuki" running successfully for a year. And this movie is the remake of Malayalam superstar Mamooty's Katha parayum Pol. Since it's already been a blockbuster and Rajnikanth always been a mass entertainer, the expectations kept on increasing.

The story is more or less related story to real life of rajnikanth and the story is about two friends, with one becoming film biggie star with the help of his friend and other becoming a barber. The biggie star arrives for shooting of a movie to the village of barber. There he remembers his past childhood moments and speaks in public about his status, how he had came upto this level and also feels that whether he can meet his old friend back. Superstar Rajnikanth coming in a cameo role as the film star, Ashok Kumar and Pasupathi acted in the character of poor barber, balasubramanian and had done their role up to their mark.

The screenplay had been changed a lot because the movie is been acted by Rajni, and the comedy part handled by Vadivelu. And this tri star combination of Rajni-vasu-vadivelu had already given a mass hit chandramuki. But this time this combination has failed since the screenplay is not that much worth. In chandramuki movie if we see, the positive things of the movie are screenplay, vadivelu comedy and the songs picturisation. All the three things had been minus points in this movie. Music composed by G.V Prakash Kumar and only two songs are good and the director misses that one too in the screen.

Rajnikanth looks much younger in this movie than his last movie Shivaji, and he has now been the highest paid actor in India by getting nearly 12 crore for this movie and this too has exceeded the record of his pay in shivaji.

KUSELAN – "not upto the mark"
